I do have all my course blogs on WordPress, but all via the Washington and Lee implementation. All are of the form econXXX.academic.wlu.edu. Ones I’ve taught recently include those below. I’m fluent in Japanese (reading/writing/speaking) but while I continue to offer classes for students in our East Asian Studies program, there is no interest in Japan, and the outside Japan-oriented conferences have collapsed. (I’m Treasurer for one, even dangling the remaining funds in front of potential organizers for one last conference has found no takers.) So instead I’m bringing my Chinese reading speed up to snuff; I can now scan articles for content, but close reading remains tedious. At the same time, I’ve refocused my research on the auto industry. My most recent major item is a book, out January 1, 2017 on Amazon: Smitka and Warrian: The Global Auto Industry: Technology and Dynamics.
